# VaultStorage

> A free vault for warranties, guarantees, bills and documents, with a reminder
> before anything expires, and device-to-device file sharing that never stores a
> file on a server. Built in Surat, India.

## What it does

- **Keeps the paperwork**: warranties, guarantees, bills and documents, each with
  its purchase date, cover period, price, store, note and attached receipt.
- **Reminds before expiry**: by email and browser notification, 30 days, 7 days
  and on the day by default, and on a schedule the owner can change per item.
  There is no WhatsApp reminder.
- **Sends files device to device**: a six-digit passkey pairs two browsers and the
  file travels straight between them (WebRTC), encrypted end to end. Nothing is
  uploaded to VaultStorage.
- **Shares a read-only page**: one item or one file can be published as a link with
  an optional passcode, an expiry date, a view limit and an off switch.
- **Costs nothing**: every feature is free, there is no paid plan, and there is no
  storage limit on an account.

- Storage limit: none.
- Reminder channels: email and browser push notifications only.
- Files sent with a passkey are never stored on the company's servers.
- Files attached to a vault item are stored on the server, behind the owner's login.
- An account can be deleted, and every file is removed with it; data can be
  exported first.
