About us

We are building the vault we needed ourselves.

VaultStorage started with a broken air conditioner, a warranty that had ended eleven days earlier, and a receipt nobody could find. Everything on this site comes from that afternoon.

Built in Surat, India Free to use Files never stored on our servers

Why this exists

Every household owns a pile of paper that only matters on one bad day: the day the fridge stops cooling, the day the phone screen cracks, the day an insurer asks for a policy number. On that day the paperwork is always in the wrong drawer.

The tools that already exist solve half the problem. Cloud drives store files but never tell you that a warranty ends next month. Reminder apps know dates but do not hold the invoice. Chat threads hold both, until they are buried under two thousand messages.

VaultStorage keeps the document, the dates and the small details in one place — and then speaks up before something expires, instead of waiting to be searched.

A warranty you cannot find on the day it matters is the same as no warranty at all.

What we believe

Four rules we build by

These are not slogans. Each one has already changed how the product works.

Free, with no paid tier waiting

There is no plan page on this site, because there are no plans. Nothing is held back, nothing expires after a trial, and no feature carries a lock icon.

Your files should not sit on our servers

When you send something with a passkey, it travels straight from your device to the other one. We could have built the easy version that uploads everything first. We did not.

Say what the product actually does

No invented user counts, no borrowed reviews, and no feature described as finished before it is. If something is still being built, this site says so.

Simple enough for a parent to use

If a feature needs a tutorial, it is not finished. The interactive demo exists so anyone can judge that for themselves before creating an account.

Where we are today

What works now, and what is still being built

VaultStorage is early. Rather than hide that, here is the honest split.

Working today

  • The interactive demo vault, with items, files, folders and notes
  • Device-to-device transfers with a 6-digit passkey
  • QR codes, so a phone can join a transfer by scanning
  • Sending a plain text message the same way
  • This blog, with guides on warranties and paperwork

Still being built

  • Accounts, so your vault follows you across devices
  • Email reminders before anything expires
  • Smart Scan, to read receipts and fill the form for you
  • A shared vault for the whole household
  • Spending insights across your bills
Please do not put real documents in the demo yet

Demo data lives only in your own browser and is meant for trying the product out. Use sample files while we finish the account side.

Who is behind it

A small product team in Surat, Gujarat, working on VaultStorage in the open. The same people write the guides on the blog, answer the support email and fix what you report.

That size is deliberate. It means the person who reads your message is usually the person who can change the thing you are writing about.
