These terms cover this website, the interactive demo and the VaultStorage product. Using any of them means you accept what is written here. If you do not agree with something, please do not use the service — and tell us why, because we would rather fix it.
Agreeing to these terms
By visiting this website, trying the demo, sending something with a passkey or creating an account, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. Together they form the agreement between you and VaultStorage.
Who can use VaultStorage
You must be at least 16 years old to use VaultStorage. If you use it on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms for it.
Your account
- Give accurate details when you sign up, and keep your email address current so reminders reach you.
- Keep your password to yourself. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you.
- Tell us promptly if you think somebody else has reached your account.
- One person, one account. Do not share a single login between several people.
A free service, offered as it is
VaultStorage is provided free of charge. There is no paid plan, no trial that ends, and no feature reserved for paying users. Because it is free and still growing, it is offered as it is: we work hard to keep it reliable, but we cannot promise it will never be unavailable or never contain a fault.
Treat VaultStorage as a convenient second home for your paperwork, not the only one. Keep the original documents, and keep a backup of anything you cannot replace.
Your documents stay yours
Everything you upload or write stays yours. You give us permission only to store, process and display that content so the service can work for you — nothing more. We do not use your documents to advertise, to train anything, or to build a profile of you.
You are responsible for having the right to store and share the documents you add.
How the service may be used
Please do not use VaultStorage to:
- Store or send anything illegal, stolen, or that you do not have the right to hold.
- Distribute malware, or send files intended to harm the person receiving them.
- Harass another person, or send unwanted material to someone using a passkey.
- Attempt to break, overload, scrape or work around any limit of the service.
- Resell the service, or present it as your own product.
Passkey transfers
A passkey transfer sends your files directly from your device to another device. Because nothing is stored on our side, a few things are your responsibility:
- Who gets the code — anyone holding the six digits while a transfer is waiting can receive it. Share the code only with the person you mean to.
- Both devices online — a transfer only runs while both browsers stay open and connected.
- No recovery — once a transfer ends or is cancelled, we have nothing to restore, because we never had a copy.
Some restrictive networks block direct connections between devices. Where that happens, a transfer may not be possible, and that is outside our control.
The interactive demo
The demo on the home page is a preview that runs inside your browser. Its data is temporary, stored only on your device, and disappears when you reset the demo or clear your browser data. Please use sample documents there rather than real personal records.
Availability and changes
We may add, change or remove features as the product develops, and occasionally the service may be down for maintenance. Where a change materially affects how you use VaultStorage, we will give notice on the site.
Our responsibility, and its limits
To the extent allowed by law, VaultStorage is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for lost profits, or for loss of data where you have not kept your own copy. In particular, a reminder is a helpful prompt and not a guarantee — checking your own warranty and renewal dates remains your responsibility.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Suspending or closing an account
You may delete your account at any time, which removes your stored documents. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that puts the service or other people at risk. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will warn you first.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Surat, Gujarat, have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change, the date at the top is updated. Continuing to use VaultStorage after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Contact us

Write to us and we will explain it in plain words, usually within two working days.
